What is Doxycycline Generic Vibramycin?
Generic Doxycycline (Vibramycin) is used for treating infections caused by certain bacteria. It may be used in combination with other medicines to treat certain amoeba infections. It is used to prevent or slow the progression of anthrax after exposure.
Generic Vibramycin is used to treat bacterial infections, including pneumonia, respiratory infections, Lyme diseases, acne infections, genital, urinary infections and anthrax. It is also used to prevent malaria. Generic Doxycycline lies in the class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic. It fights bacteria in the body. Doxycycline is used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, acne, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, periodontitis (gum disease), and acne-like lesions caused by rosacea. It will not treat facial redness caused by rosacea.
To fight such bacteria’s that develop disease in the body, generic Doxycycline is widely used. Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic i.e. it is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic derived from tetracycline. It is effective against a wide variety of bacteria such as Chlamydia psittaci, Chlamydia trachomatis, Hemophilus influenza, Streptococcus pneumonia, Mycoplasma pneumonia, Neisseria gonorrhoea and many others.
Moreover, Vibramycin is also used to treat acne-like lesions caused by rosacea, blemishes, bumps etc. Remember, it cannot treat facial redness caused by rosacea. It is also used for the treatment of cholera, brucellosis, anthrax, syphilis, nongonococcal urethritis i.e. due to Ureaplasma, typhus, chancroid, acne and Rocky mountain spotted fever.
Generally, for most infections, generic Doxycycline is taken once or twice daily for 7 to 14 days. Sometimes the first dose is given as a double dose that is twice as large as the remainder of the doses. It can be taken with meals as the absorption of Doxycycline is not markedly affected by food. However, before taking Doxycycline Topical i.e. Doxycyline Monohydrate medication, ask your pharmacist or doctor for a copy of the manufacturer’s information for the patient and read it carefully.
Some most common side effects noticed are - vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain and loose stools. Exaggerated sunburn can occur with tetracycline’s and hence sunlight should be minimized during the treatment. Tetracycline’s such as Doxycycline may cause tooth discoloration if used in patients of below 8 years of age.

How to used Doxycycline Generic Vibramycin
Doxycycline (Vibramycin) comes in a form of tablet or liquid/syrup, or a suspension (liquid), all to be taken by mouth. It is usually taken once or twice a day.
Doxycycline Missed dose:
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
Overdose symptoms may include: nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Storage Of Generic Doxycycline:
Keep this medication in a tight container where it is out of reach from children and pets. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is expired/outdated or no longer needed. Using expired generic doxycycline can cause damage to your kidneys.
